Palazzo Salis in Tirano
Palazzo Salis, in Tirano, erected between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, presents a late sixteenth-century style façade flanked by two towers, with a central baroque portal. Inside the building there is a museum, which winds through the 10 most beautiful rooms of the residence, among which stand out the "Room of the 8 wonders", which has a frescoed ceiling with a striking perspective effect, and the "Saloncello", an important vaulted room with trompe l'oeil frescoes and a magnificent fireplace. We recommend a visit to the splendid Italian formal garden, which contains a labyrinth in box hedge, roses, numerous fruit trees and a centuries-old cedar of Lebanon.
