Seasonal fairs

In Sondrio, during the months of May and September, the city’s streets feature traditional open-air markets, selling their wares from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The weekly markets

The weekly markets, with stands selling both food and other goods, can be found:

•  on Monday in via Maffei, from 8:30 to 12:30,
  Maffei Street
• on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 8:30 to 12:30
  Bertacchi square - Veneto Street – XXV Aprile Street

The indoor Farmers’ Market

is held on Saturdays from 8:00 to 12:30 in piazzale Bertacchi, in front of the railway station. It features a vast range of local products with a low carbon footprint: from cheeses to honey, fish and cured meats, from fruit and vegetables to wine. It’s the ideal place to find seasonal specialties, direct from producer to consumer. A stroll among the stands of the city’s markets, discovering the local specialties.
